Career Profile

Onajobi Abidemi started his career life as an Administrative Officer (Youth Corper) in the Branch Operations department of Central Bank of Nigeria, Lagos. He later joined BMC Consultants Limited, a business strategy and architecture firm, as a pioneer staff.

While at BMC, Abidemi provided excellent analytical and consulting support on several projects covering business process design, career pathing, business plan development, due diligence exercise across financial services, IT, manufacturing, and Hotel & Tourism industries. He was also responsible for developing information memorandum for a number of Medium Scale Enterprises for equity and debt financing.

Abidemi, with significant experience in business administration, business process redesign and implementation, strategy and business plan development as well as corporate transformation is currently engaged in the SME Banking Unit of First City Monument Bank Plc (FCMB). He was a Business Analyst with Oando Plc, leading indigenous player in the downstream sector of the Nigerian Oil & Gas industry, and had a brief stint with the Corporate Finance Group of Phillips Consulting Limited, Lagos office before joining FCMB.

Onajobi Abidemi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University,  Ile-Ife. He is an associate member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).
